Background Note on SDG 17 "Partnerships for the Goals" - Technology (AFSD 2021)

Technology’s potential to advance sustainable development in Arab countries is immense and has been further highlighted during the COVID-19 crisis. 

This background note presents facts on the impact of COVID-19 on SDG 17 in the Arab region, with a focus on technology, the measures taken by Arab Governments as well as the most at risk of being left behind, and introduces some policy recommendations for ensuring an inclusive recovery and achieving SDG 17 by 2030.
