Country Profile on Employment and Decent Work - Oman

The purpose of this country profile is to provide a general overview of the labour market and productivity in Oman and provide policy guidance to achieve the goals set by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This country profile presents recent labour market trends and productivity. Topics such as population growth, labour force participation, employment, unemployment, informality, child labour are addressed. These issues are analysed in light of recent economic growth, sector transformation and productivity changes for Oman. This profile primarily uses statistics and definitions from the World Bank and the International Labour Organization. However, in cases where specific disaggregation was not available from international sources, national statistics data were used.
