The idea of this study came in the context of the presentation made by Her Excellency Mrs. Basimah El-Hakawy, the Minister of Solidarity, Women, Family and Social Development in the Kingdom of Morocco, during the session devoted to state presentations on the development of the status of women in the society in which the Minister referred to the Kingdom's distinguished experience in adopting an integrated public policy bearing the name of the government plan for equality, "Ekram".
This experience has caught the interest of member states, given that it aims to integrate women's issues as a cross-cutting issue in all government sectors (33 government sectors) as well as civil society organizations, in addition to the creation of a governmental mechanism to follow up the implementation of this policy, headed by the Prime Minister himself to ensure that everyone is committed to serving the cause of women and not looking at it as an isolated sectoral matter.
